O argumento do Ebertinho é fraquíssimo. Seria mais inteligente levar as partituras para a casa do MESMO jornalista e tocar todas na seqüência. Para finalizar, o Melancia é lindo! |

Hasselhoff, man of the people (Oct 14 2003 03:08 GMT) - Its not often that true genius graces this firmament that we call Earth. Einstein, Aristotle, Jamie and his magic torch, these people (amongst others) have shown us mere IQers the path in life. Without them, and their vision, surely mankind would still be fending off dinosaurs with flaming thigh bones. Shudder. I never want to go back to those days. |

Fruity as a nut cake (Oct 14 2003 03:08 GMT) - Ah Monday the thirteenth... possibly the single most scarifying day in your calendar. Oh, except for the really scary ones, like Friday the 10th... that was fucking petrifying! It took us about 4 hours to get Reg to come out from behind the sofa last week, after the wombat stood on the remote control and switched over from Alan Titchmarsh to the Teletubbies. |

Unicode (Oct 14 2003 03:06 GMT) - Joel Spolsky, as always, rocking:"I'll fill you in on exactly what every working programmer should know. All that stuff about "plain text = ascii = characters are 8 bits" is not only wrong, it's hopelessly wrong, and if you're still programming that way, you're not much better than a medical doctor who doesn't believe in germs. Please do not write another line of code until you finish reading this article." |

Mussina (Oct 14 2003 03:06 GMT) - Mike is pitching very well tonight. He's struck out 9 through six innings, walked none, and 57 of his 79 pitches have been for strikes. He can easily complete the game at this pace. But someone will complain about the... |

business agents contract (Oct 14 2003 03:06 GMT) - I think it is time that the BA contract is revisited again to refresh the members minds.Take a look again to what was negotiated with Brooke for the BA's compared to what was just negotiated for the members. What do you think the BA's are going to get this time?Everyone print off a copy of David's summary of the document and pass it around your workplace.Very few members are aware of how many "perks" they have-http: |

UFCW 1518 Election ll (Oct 14 2003 03:06 GMT) - We are the opposition because:"Since 1987, when the internal mechanisms of UFCW Local 1518 exploded, our union has been in a downward spiral. Shortly thereafter, as you may recall, the local was trusteed by UFCW International. It never got any better, paid staffers quit and e-board members stepped down. The election of officers which followed was plagued with challenges and allegations. |

Points to Ponder (Oct 14 2003 03:05 GMT) - American RealPolitik: Points to Ponder "We have seen freedom's power in Europe and Asia and Africa and Latin America, and we will see freedom's power in the Middle East... Every person in every culture has the inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. America owns the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, but the ideals they proclaim belong to all mankind. |

Non-specific October 13th update. (Oct 14 2003 03:04 GMT) - Well, I couldn't let another month go by without positing so here it goes, one month of highlighted activities in a few poorly formed paragraphs. Mark's party was the best one yet, saw lots of old friends and made a few new ones. I managed to catch the annual Forrest park Balloon Race. If you're in St. Louis, the Central west end is a fun part of town. |

Books.... (Oct 14 2003 03:04 GMT) - Still amazes me that you are allowed to publish a book on: - how to crack safes - how to break into hosues - how to murder people with household items - how to make atomic weapons - how to smuggle drugs but if you publish an academic paper that mentions that it's possible to bypass some lame-ass CD copy protection system by holding down the SHIFT key... ... now THAT gets you in trouble. I don't get that either. |

Case-Sensitivity for ActionScript Versions... (Oct 14 2003 03:03 GMT) - It's discussed a lot before that one of the new features in MX 04 and Flash Player 7 is the case-sensitivity in ActionScript. Keep in mind that this thing is determined only if the swf is exported for Flash Player 7, therefore it's independent from the version.Example: XMLParse and xmlparse are the same thing if you have exported for FP 6 from MX 04 by using AS 2.0, as they're different if you have exported for FP 7 by setting to AS 1. |
