Times Square, annotated via handhelds (Oct 14 2003 19:59 GMT) - We haven't had a chance to go and try this out yet ourselves, but a group of artists sponsored by Panasonic have created a special program for PDAs called PDPal which visitors to Times Square can download from a special kiosk on 42nd Street. They can then use the program to annotate their journey on a map which they can upload to the web to share their experiences and explorations of the area with others. Whether anyone will actually want to sift through an archive of other people's strolls through Times Square is still unclear. Read [Via Palmtops.About. |
