EFF's new file-sharing movie (Oct 17 2003 12:54 GMT) - EFF has released a new Flash movie aimed at explaining what's good and what's at risk with file-sharing. It's called "The Great MP3 Caper," and it's some funny stuff. For years, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has been waging war against peer-to-peer file-sharing software and the technologists who create it. Now the RIAA has turned its crosshairs on you, threatening to sue you for sharing the music you love. But even shotgun-style lawsuits won't solve the RIAA's problem. |

iTunes 4.1 for Windows (Oct 17 2003 12:52 GMT) - You probably know by now that Apple iTunes is now available for Windows. Windows Server 2003 SKU count at 13 (Oct 17 2003 12:52 GMT) - Microsoft keeps delivering or promising new SKUs of Windows Server 2003. After the original six versions the company launched on April 24, Microsoft has delivered or announced an additional seven splits of the server operating system. Three of them emerged on Wednesday in the form of an announcement of forthcoming 64-bit operating systems, two for AMD's 64-bit architecture and an additional SKU for Intel's Itanium architecture. |
