Ok, One More (Oct 17 2003 16:41 GMT) - Today's comic is the last time I make fun of the N-Gage... unless I run out of comic ideas, then it's POW! right in Nokia's jaw. The wheel of interest is spinning once again, I've finally been able to identify all of my hobbies I switch between: 1. |

Captain N-gage, The Game Master (Oct 17 2003 16:41 GMT) - Ahhhh the time has come to review my new lil pocket friend the N-gage. Gagey has been spending a lot of time with me answer my voice mails, using speech recognition calls, creating ringtones, trying to sync with Bluetooth enabled Macintoshes, and just playing Monkey Ball and I can say I enjoy having him around. The other day we made a conference call to help my buddy in Cleveland fix his computer! I will say the N-gage is NOT for JUST gaming. The N-gage's main function is being a phone. |

...ABOUT KILLING THE PATIENT (Oct 17 2003 16:41 GMT) - Atrios has the transcript of the insanity of Ken Adleman that was on NPR yesterday, where he argued that the doctrine of pre-emptive war shouldn't be yet another casualty of the current Iraq war. Now, I won't claim that we should never ever conduct a pre-emptive strike under any circumstances, but his claims are worthy of ridicule. Ken uses Machiavelli's analogy of a doctor treating a patient early to get the best results. I'd now like to use that analogy againt Ken's argument, because it's much better suited to the contrary position. Doctors would rather start treatment on a patient earlier with, say, lung cancer. |

Lumpkins Last Longer (Oct 17 2003 16:40 GMT) - (One Gram Shy) I'm not particularly interested in Halloween anymore. I think a large par tof that has to do with the fact that if I were to go trick or treating, people owuld assume I'm either watching some little kids, or creepy. Or both. But either way it would mean no candy for me. Which is fine, cause I'm not really into super sweetness either. |
