newsgator and outlooks address book? (Oct 18 2003 23:27 GMT) - Does Newgator attempt to access Outlook's address book for any reason? Since installing this morning I have been getting the alert from OL that something is wanting to access the address book. OL them allows me the opportunity to give the "offending program" access to it for up to ten minutes at a time. |

tiny rant (Oct 18 2003 23:20 GMT) - I hate that I have to resort to reinstallation of the operating system at times. I hate that I have to reinstall all of the needed programs, that I have to search through all of my papers and email to find all of the activation codes. I've gotten better at keeping track of them, but there's always one that has been misplaced. On the other hand, it's interesting to note that I've moved almost all daily usage to the powerbook, so the set of programs I needed to install to support what I want to do was a lot smaller than it has been in the past. It's somewhat ironic that the last program I installed on my Windows box (the one I crashed and had to reinstall) was the new Windows version of iTunes. |

He's back (Oct 18 2003 23:20 GMT) - Media stories here, here, here, and here are noting that Osma bin Laden has released two messages - one to the Iraqi people and other Arab Muslims, another to the United States. The U.S. is warned of attacks both inside and outside its borders and Iraqis and to Arab Muslims another call to launch a jihad against the U.S. |

Looking after the boys (Oct 18 2003 23:20 GMT) - Bush has been touting how he personally, the members of his administration, and America as a whole support the men and women of the American Armed Forces and how they'll be given what they need (financially and morally) to do the job they've been given - according to U.P.I. though they better make sure they don't fall ill or get injured in the performance of those tasks because support doesn't go that far.Hundreds of sick and wounded U. |
