Some at Telecom Geneva say "Expect more Carrier bankruptcies" (Oct 18 2003 23:11 GMT) - A theme making the rounds at Telecom Geneva is that we may have not seen the end of telecom carrier bankruptcy filings. Further, some believe that we have reached an era similar to the one experienced by the airline industry – one large carrier was/is in bankruptcy since the time the Airline industry was deregulated. The logic being that solvent telecom carriers with significant amount of debt may not be able to compete with a “debt-free” MCI when it re-emerges from bankruptcy –... |

Safari Weirdness: Will it Never End? (Oct 18 2003 23:10 GMT) - Today, Safari decided it would be fun just to be unable to find a bunch of my frequently used sites as well as some new ones. It would sit and spin happily and never go anywhere and, at least some of the time, produce an error dialog that said it couldn't find that site. Zip over to a different browser on the same machine and, voila!, the site isn't lost after all. Zip over to my Windows box and try any browser and, voila! |
