it's how you finish (Oct 20 2003 03:48 GMT) - today i ran the US half marathon. the race was to start at 7, meaning i had to get up at 5 in order to get my ass up to aquatic park (between fisherman's wharf and fort mason) on time. i'd been to my friend erin's goodbye party (she's headed back to boston) over in the sunset the previous night, so i didn't get much sleep (although i did refrain from drinking, good boy that i am). i had a clif bar and a banana for breakfast, showered and dressed, then walked over to third street to catch the 30 bus. i got to the starting line around 6: |
