Siria: ¿un país amigo? (Oct 20 2003 23:23 GMT) - La posición de la dictadura hereditaria siria como santuario del terrorismo palestino ha quedado considerablemente debilitada tras la caída de Sadam Husein, que la ha situado en primera línea del llamado “eje del mal”. De momento, el régimen sirio se ha visto obligado a colaborar en la guerra contra el terrorismo facilitando pistas acerca de los 3.000 millones de dólares que Sadam depositó en bancos de Damasco y que podrían estar financiando los atentados terroristas en suelo iraquí. Sin embargo, esto es claramente insuficiente y EEUU a advertido al dictador sirio de que debe dejar de cobijar y entrenar terroristas palestinos y debe detener el flujo de terroristas que cruzan la frontera desde Siria para perpetrar atentados y sabotajes en Irak. |
