Empty light (Oct 21 2003 00:58 GMT) - "There's a certain kind of white, piercing, empty light to the Los Angeles sky at certain times of day -- and gold, piercing emptiness at others -- that can make a person want to commit suicide, or snort cocaine, or write a screenplay, or at least stare with glazed eyes into the depths of his Hockney-blue backyard swimming pool." Eclipse uber alles? - Rick Ross (Oct 21 2003 00:56 GMT) - It looks like Eclipse is capturing a strong lead in Jerason's Java IDE poll. This morning when I peeked in there were about 350 votes, and IntelliJ IDEA was on top with over 45%. I looked at the comments, and it was pretty clear that the word had gone out on some IntelliJ fan list to vote in the poll. I sent out a quick email to the Javalobby membership to get a broader view. In the past hour more than 1200 new votes have been cast, and Eclipse has established itself as the leader by cutting the IntelliJ IDEA standing in half (sad for IntelliJ, but perhaps more reflective of reality. |
