NewsMonster (Oct 21 2003 23:25 GMT) - Based on Technorati's recommendation, I downloaded and installed NewsMonster Free; however, I do not really like it.I like the user interface and that it integrates well with Mozilla but its integration is one of the reasons why I will be changing news aggregrators. For instance, I am not sure what to do now that Mozilla 1.5 is out. |

Kevin Costner as Neo? <shiver> (Oct 21 2003 23:23 GMT) - I love the Matrix movies, but I don't like Keanu Reeves. Never really have, at least in the role he's playing in Matrix. But I hate him less than I do Kevin Costner, who was seriously considered for the lead role in the Matrix series. I had heard rumors a LONG time ago that Jet Li was wanted as well, but turned it down. Instead, they got stuck with a guy that, really, has done some crappy movies. |

Independent Clark blog speaks out against Bono copyright grab (Oct 21 2003 23:21 GMT) - Copyright issues do matter to Independents for Clark. Thanks for today's TeleRead link, folks! While I zeroed in on the DMCA and Clinton's role in it, I was pleased to see IFC mention the Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Term Act named after the late Republican congress member. It will keep many a classic--ranging from various Gershwin compositions to The Great Gatsby--from going on the Net for free for a long time. Not the best news for schools and libraries. |
