I haven't even had a chance to look at these yet, but I thought I'd let you know they were up there. He's also included a ton of MP3 clips too! These are named very nicely and include: 1996_radiofreela, 60minutes, after the oscars, bill maher, boulder-CO, an interview in belfast, ralph nader rally, university of toronto, and webzine. |

SEC Probes AOL (Oct 22 2003 17:32 GMT) - A continuing federal probe into America Online's accounting practices has reached top management, as the Securities and Exchange Commission issued subpoenas to Time Warner Chairman Richard D. Parsons, AOL founder Steve Case and other senior officials, sources familiar with the probe said today. The SEC wants to question them about the company's booking of $400 million in revenue from transactions with German media conglomerate Bertelsmann AG following the 2001 merger of America Online and Time Warner. Amid the new revelations about the probe, the company also revealed today in its quarterly filing that America Online lost 2 million subscribers during the past year, including 688,000 users who left the online service during the third quarter. Linux users incensed over Royal Bank SCO investment (Oct 22 2003 17:32 GMT) - RBC has contributed towards a US$50-million fund for the company that is suing IBM and threatening to invoice Linux users. Some of the bank's "horrified" customers speak out Canada's open source community is outraged over a decision by the Royal Bank of Canada to contribute towards a US$50-million investment in SCO Group. BayStar Capital, based in San Francisco, said last Friday it has closed a private placement of non-voting Series A Convertible Preferred Shares in SCO, with a large portion of the funds coming from RBC Capital Markets. SCO said it would use the money towards the development of software and to help pay its legal and licensing costs. |
