People Cutting Back On Email Use Due To Spam (Oct 22 2003 23:34 GMT) - This probably won't come as a shock to many people, but spam has become such a problem that one in four users say they use email less because of spam. Many people feel helpless in the presence of spam, believing there's no effective way to block it. Of course, the next part of the survey is the most disturbing. 7% of people out there are stupid enough to buy from spam messages, while 1/3 had clicked through a link to get more information. Who are these people, and what are they thinking? |
