- when i first started learning about computers (not that long ago) i did use edlin a few times... but found it very weird only being able to view and edit one line at a time. i later realized that one could first use the "type" command, so you could see the entire contents of the file then using edlin next was quite a bit easier. after i had used it a few times i guess i forgot it was called edlin so i kept typing "eldin" and getting the "command not found" message btw: when i tried out that damn_small_linux distro yesterday i had to use one of the simpler linux editors.... |
