GPO presents first Library of the Year award to Tulsa City-County Library (Oct 24 2003 06:59 GMT) - I just received this announcement in e-mail. The library system I work for, Tulsa City-County Library, has received the Government Printing Office's first-ever "Library of the Year" Award. Forward thinking, superior customer service and Internet savvy: That is how a third of a million library users in Tulsa, Oklahoma describe their public library. Those reasons, paired with excellence in providing public access to government information through the U. |

Free Myers-Briggs Test (Oct 24 2003 06:56 GMT) - I was going to take this free Myers-Briggs test when I looked at the need to answer 48 questions and thought why bother? I don't need to define myself in terms of four letters, nor do I need to see if I have changed from a previously assessed INTJ. Interesting that Jack Vinsom who blogged about the link he received was originally INTJ. I wonder how many other bloggers are?Comments (0) |

Helpline Comment (24181) (Oct 24 2003 06:55 GMT) - Laura, That cable is not a KVM Multiplexer adapter (I doubt anyone would have one of those. That cable that you have there is more than likely a MIDI interface adapter. I have an identical one on my computer. Look closely at the two DIN connections - one should say "IN" and the other should say "OUT". Those are the MIDI connections, and the game port connector is just that - a game port passthrough. |

Happy Birthday to Me... (Oct 24 2003 06:55 GMT) - Yep, today's my birthday, which means I'm... Well, let's just say that I'm old enough to remember when we weren't declaring an all-out war on our citizens, when drug policy meant caring for those who were addicted, before the expansion of the drug war escalated the violence and fed the growth of large criminal enterprises and large criminal government agencies. For a moment, I considered making a pathetic birthday pitch for contributions to this site or purchases on my wish list. But then I thought about my own wish to contribute more to some important organizations. So, if you have any desire to recognize my birthday, consider making a contribution of any amount to my birthday designee this year: |
