(Oct 25 2003 18:25 GMT) - Source: WebLogs @ SqlJunkies.com Niels says - SQLXML enables XML support for SQL Server databases (in addition to what FOR XML does natively in SQL 2K) In the SP1 release of SQLXML 3 Microsoft enabled (among other things) SOAP support. You can in other words expose your stored procedures, functions and templates as web services - multo cool! |

Civilization? (Oct 25 2003 18:23 GMT) - Every so often, I enter into a brown study (also know as a "funk") and suddenly find myself playing Sid Meyer's Civilization for 16 hours at a stretch. Afterwards, I am always appalled at the way I find myself thinking once the conflicts start to boil up and bleariness starts to set in. Thoughts like, "These people have such riches, but don't know how to manage them properly. They don't deserve to rule themselves." Like "If these (ethnic characteristic) fuckers aren't going to toe the line, I'm sending in the Marines. |
