- Völlig entkräftet zogen die Einsatzkräfte gestern abend gegen 20 Uhr 15 einen 26-jährigen Jugoslawen in Höhe des Wildenbruchplatzes ans Ufer des Neuköllner Schifffahrtskanals. Zivilkräften der Direktion 5 ist der Mann zuvor zusammen mit einem bisher Unbekannten in einem "Opel" in der Herzbergstraße aufgefallen, da der Pkw wegen fehlender Umschreibung zur Fahndung ausgeschrieben war. Sie folgten dem Fahrzeug bis zur Innstraße, wo sie den Fahrer mehrfach zum Halten aufforderten. Dieser reagierte jedoch nicht und fuhr mit hoher Geschwindigkeit die Innstraße entlang, bis er an einer Böschung am Weigandufer zum Stehen kam. Beide Männer verließen das Auto und setzten ihren Weg zu Fuss fort. |

- Schwere Verletzungen erlitt ein 76-jähriger Mann, als dieser gestern gegen 17 Uhr 40 in seiner Wohnung in der Neustrelitzer Straße in Hohenschönhausen durch das Hantieren mit bisher unbekanntem explosiven Material eine Verpuffung herbeigeführt hat. Dadurch kam es zu Beschädigungen seines Inventars. Nachbarn alarmierten die Feuerwehr, die den Mieter in ein Krankenhaus brachte. Er schwebt in Lebensgefahr. Weitere Personen wurden nicht verletzt. |

- Aus bisher ungeklärter Ursache geriet ein Wäschewagen auf dem Treppenabsatz im zweiten Obergeschoss des AVUS Motels in der Halenseestraße in Grunewald gegen 00 Uhr 45 in Brand. Ein Gast bemerkte Brandgeruch in seinem Zimmer, entdeckte den Wagen und alarmierte die Feuerwehr. Die Einsatzkräfte evakuierten ca. 40 Gäste aus dem Gebäude. Fünf von ihnen brachte die Feuerwehr aufgrund des Verdachtes einer Rauchgasvergiftung zur ambulanten Behandlung in ein Krankenhaus. |

- Über den Balkon seiner Wohnung in der vierten Etage eines Mehrfamilienhauses in der Robert-Uhrig-Straße in Hohenschönhausen versuchte der 55-jährige Mieter gestern Nacht gegen 21 Uhr 40 die Wohnung zu verlassen. Dabei stürzte er ab und erlag im Krankenhaus wenig später seinen schweren Verletzungen. In seiner Wohnung war aus bisher ungeklärter Ursache ein Feuer ausgebrochen. Eine Nachbarin hatte die Rauchentwicklung bemerkt und die Feuerwehr alarmiert. Das Feuer konnte schnell gelöscht werden, so dass weitere Wohnungen nicht betroffen waren. |
