Library building becomes spa (Oct 27 2003 14:59 GMT) - A landmark Carnegie library building in Minneapolis is being remodeled into a spa (Strib registration apparently required unless you get to the story through Google News), which opens for business in December. "The upper level will have six pedicure chairs and a large manicure area, along with two plasma TVs. ... (Oct 27 2003 14:57 GMT) - CHINA: PROMOTING ATHEISM (ANS) Once upon a time, the Communist Party in the Soviet Union erected blocking towers in Khabarovsk (east coast of Russia) to block out gospel radio signals from Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) in the Philippines and beyond. Unbelievable Bob Herbert today (Oct 27 2003 14:54 GMT) - If you disagree with the slightly flatter tax curve the Bush Administration has brought America, that's fine.
