Who's Next? With rumors of Grady Little's manag... (Oct 27 2003 19:59 GMT) - Who's Next? With rumors of Grady Little's managerial death anything but exaggerated, the question becomes: Who will succeed Grady at the Sox helm? The media has already bandied about names such as Glenn Hoffman, Whitey Herzog, Charlie Manuel, and, yes, even Jerry Remy. It's hard to believe the Sox will go after a complete newcomer such as Remy. |

Blogger News Item (Oct 27 2003 19:58 GMT) - The annual Trick or Treat tradition has been dampened by tales of twisted psychopaths doling out poisoned candy and razor-blade-filled apples to unsuspecting cherubs. Each year local media feature lurid segments about tampering and recommend herding our little ones to parties instead of door-to-door. But is there any rational basis for these warnings, or is it just the result of urban legend mixed with heightened national paranoia? [More] |

Blogger News Item (Oct 27 2003 19:58 GMT) - I was just asking for the comparable term to Deaniacs, and I got an email from the Wesley Clark people calling them Clarksters. Lame. Someone can do better. I'm not using it. They're also saying the camp is ecstatic about how well Clark did in the debate last night, though I'm sure they're all saying that. |

WoodPusher 0.01 (Oct 27 2003 19:55 GMT) - After months and months of not hacking on it, I resumed some work on WoodPusher, my Chess application written in C#. My goal is to create a very easy to use gui for playing chess against computer engines or online using Internet Chess Servers. Right now I've got it to the point where it draws the board and places the pieces in the correct places. Not all that exciting but here's what it looks like. The code isn't really worth posting yet. |
