I decided on October 25th to change my name from "Rood" to "Kruzycki" in a complete break from tradition and the norm. The reason for doing so was to allow the Kruzycki / Kruzycka name to continue into the next generation, as Karen is the only branch of the family who will be likely to have children. The decision was met with some surprise from my family, but I think they understand the reason for making the change. |
