- The RCVS Education Committee this week approved guidance for veterinary schools on the admission of students with disabilities to the professional veterinary degree course. The guidance was produced by the Committee's Disability Working Party following two meetings and extensive consultation with admissions staff at the veterinary schools. The veterinary schools requested guidance on issues raised by the recently amended Disability Discrimination Act (1995) and they have welcomed this guidance as helpful and constructive. It also provides useful information to people who wish to apply to veterinary school. It will be amended and added to, particularly as more information is made available through the DIVERSE project. |

FlowJo (Oct 28 2003 12:15 GMT) - FlowJo, the supreme flow cytometry analysis software previously only available for Macs, is now shipping as v5 for Windows. It's written in Java, so maybe the two platforms will be able to develop alongside each other. Hopefully the increased market will bring down the ludicrously high prices soon as well. Seems like it's still beta though, and the Mac files aren't compatible with the PC version, so better leave this for a while. |
