- Received this book a couple of weeks ago from Amazon. I'd recommend buying this book as it has some really good advice and is very well written. However if you are planning on taking the SCBCD exam I would recommend putting it on the bookshelf until after you've passed it. The areas the book cover are bigger than just the vanilla EJB and topics such as alternatives to entity beans for persistence, etc. This means that you may find yourself remembering details on JDO (which obviously aren't covered by the EJB 2.
