Favorite quote:So what would happen? Well, music would probably get better as a result. In fact, music would probably improve so much it would eventually be looked back at as a tremendously favorable improvement.

This didn't seem like a good way forward with MT Pro and Typepad around the cornern. Our new approach we're much happier with. It only requires 1 change (adding 1 line) to an existing MT template, 1 perl module (HTML::

- Now I can drag and drop pieces on the board. When dropped the piece is centered properly in the square. So I can almost play a game of chess with myself: Next step is to look again at the interfaces to gnuchess, phalanx, icc, etc. and prepare to integrate with real players and engines.

- Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Just as my knee was recovering enough to enable Raven to play with me again, she embarked on a new direction with her work and with the SlaveCam site, which required a lot of time investment in setting up a lot of new, unfamiliar tech. Cameras, cables, encoders, Flash, streaming USB, lighting, etc. She asked me to help with all the setup because I'm a tech boy, and being the obsessive-compulsive problem solver that I am, I took the ball and ran with it. I was constantly thinking about how to improve the setup.
