More Red Storm Supercomputing in Cray's Forecast (Oct 29 2003 12:07 GMT) - Cray has outlined the first step in its plan to sell supercomputers in a market dominated by clustered machines. The company will based the new system on its Red Storm supercomputer developed for Sandia National Laboratories. Cray is keeping the wraps on the pricing for the new computers but said the entry point will be under $1 million. |

New Beta 0.6.2: several bugfixes (Oct 29 2003 12:07 GMT) - This release includes several bugfixes to PyDS, especially in the area of enclosures, the FTP driver, the blogger API, the MeshTool, the dynamic variable context and several other places. There was an immprovement for remote acces. This can now be defined as to be on a path of a server, so you can run PyDS integrated with the rest of your website. An upgrade is advisable, as some of the fixed bugs might pose problems in daily use. |

Dans la même veine, quoiqu'orienté vers le privé, voici Hierarchies.org, qui s'assigne pour objectif de "traquer les relations entre les compagnies, leurs marques et les effets que ces structures ont sur le monde" (traduction maison). If you are British, you can reasonably expect the worst food in Europe, the least attractive climate and the oldest medicines. These may be stereotypes but the essence of stereotypes is that they are often based on something true. Full report here>> Mind-boggling claim!
