Crude Python program to analyze Manila Referers (Oct 29 2003 23:48 GMT) - I got bored of deciphering search queries from the "Manila" referers report by hand so I decided to write a program to do it. And I decided to do it in Python. Mark Pilgrim's Dive Into Python and the online docs are awesome (love being able to check out stuff interactively in IDLE reminds of my first programming language BASIC combined with cool Lispish read/evaluate loop; love the indentation which I thought I would hate; it reminded me of UserTalk, no need for bogus statement separators! |

Magically drawn back (Oct 29 2003 23:46 GMT) - I feel like I'm bound to something that holds me back. And only because I can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. But there are lots of other things that keep me from performing well. Mom's kinda cancelled chrismas holidays at home. Very sad. |

Why ''..'' dirent? (Oct 29 2003 23:45 GMT) - Does any unix nerd out there have a good argument for why the parent directory is linked in every dir as ".."? It seems to do more harm than good. For example: - The root directory has no parent, so .. |
