Dreamweaver MX Web Development (Oct 29 2003 23:31 GMT) - My workchums Paul and Colleen (got a URL, Paul?) have taken pity on me and lent me a copy of this book to help solve my XML woes. It’s a great book, and was produced by mostly the same team as worked on my book, so that can’t be bad. |

teamlovefamily : mouais bof (Oct 29 2003 23:31 GMT) - Mesdemoiselles, mesdames, messieurs.

Gathering the (Welsh) Jewels (Oct 29 2003 23:30 GMT) - Thanks to the recently completed 'Gathering The Jewels' digitisation project, 20,000 artefacts from the Welsh nation's museums can be viewed in one place, free of charge. Established by a consortium of heritage bodies, the project has brought together objects from repositories all over Wales, putting the cream of Wales' cultural history on the Internet. It is fully bilingual and brings together contributions from museums, libraries, record offices and archives from all over Wales. As well as printed material and original documents it includes maps, photographs, paintings, artefacts, sound and film clips. |

One of the things on ... (Oct 29 2003 23:30 GMT) - One of the things on the roadmap for Berkman-Thursdays is a series of mini-BloggerCons, half-to-full-day salons in Cambridge and/or San Francisco (maybe NYC), where we discuss the art and science of weblogs. As the culture and technology grow, the topics grow to be more inclusive. Being at Harvard has expanded my horizons, and I've tried to pass that on as much as I can. Now I'm thinking about having the first salon, possibly as soon as mid-November, to talk about weblogs and democracy. It's pretty clear, based on discussions we've been having with the campaigns, and with journalists covering the campaigns, and with academics covering both the journalists and the pols, that the shifting of power isn't done yet. |
