Budget sucks! (Oct 30 2003 12:59 GMT) - I had quite a nightmare experience with the car we rented from Budget Rent-a-car 3 months ago when we first came to France. And it is no way finished, as it seems they succeeded in ripping me off of $3300 on top of the full rental and insurance we paid, where really it should have been them who ought to have reimbursed me for our extra trouble and expenses. In brief, we rented a car for 3 weeks from Budget in the airport in Toulouse, France. I opted for full insurance and paid it all in advance. During those 3 weeks we decided to drive to Denmark. |

What if Peer to Peer 'wins'? (Oct 30 2003 12:59 GMT) - Found on Slyck via Politech, here is a story considering what the result might be if the RIAA and company actually go bankrupt and disappear as a result of people sharing music with one another. Favorite quote:So what would happen? Well, music would probably get better as a result. In fact, music would probably improve so much it would eventually be looked back at as a tremendously favorable improvement. |

Orange are rolling out a ... (Oct 30 2003 12:58 GMT) - Orange are rolling out a range of enhancements to their mobile portal. This seems more like incremental changes than a radical Vodafone-live-style reworking, but there's some good stuff here: The "Your page" function has been successful, and rightly so: it lets you build your own menu of favourite content, and link to relevant travel services and the like. It's my point of contact with Orange - in fact, if I could make it my home page I would, thus saving myself an extra click (and the loading time of the pointless - to me - Orange home page). |
