Vinyl (Nov 01 2003 19:57 GMT) - The parents visited today, so we did the usual thing of visiting colleges, wandering around shops and drinking coffee. I made the mistake (from my mum’s perspective, anyway) of introducing my dad to Avid Records—a fantastic second-hand vinyl shop. They have acres of rock, pop and blues on the ground floor, but it was only recently that I discovered they also have a first floor (up the narrow stairs, taking care not to kick off the piles of records stacked there) which has thousands of folk and classical records. |

Re: navigator appearance for different categories (Nov 01 2003 19:56 GMT) - Yes. When you look at the 'source' for each category, that's based around a unique #homeTemplate for each category; and the problem eprsists in each category except as outlined above on the 'home' page where all is okay. Puzzling isn't it? So yes, if I change align=center to align=left etc on any of the category pages it works on all content in that column EXCEPT for the navigation links which are generated by a m'macro' I think its called. |

The wrong thing to do (Nov 01 2003 19:54 GMT) - Iraq Rejects Syria's Invitation for Talks( LA Times ) - An offended Iraqi Governing Council refused a last-minute invitation from Syria to attend a regional meeting Saturday and declared it was rejecting in advance any decisions the group might make. The U.S.-appointed council -- which said it considered the ambiguous invitation an affront to Iraq's dignity -- had wanted to attend the meeting of Iraqi border nations to complain about cross-border infiltration of militants, including... |

Link Popularity – Google Page Rank - An Insight Review (Nov 01 2003 19:53 GMT) - Link popularity is a term much talked about but little understood in terms of its relevance and importance. It’s not easy locating quality sites related to but not competing with yours who are willing to give up valuable real estate for your link. It takes solid research, smooth negotiating skills, and a large investment of time to develop a base of reputable, relevant link partners that will make the search bots take notice of your website.
