“could not load the assembly or one of its dependencies” errors (Nov 11 2003 23:57 GMT) - I don't know for yourself, but I have recently a lot of “could not load the assembly or one of its dependencies” errors in different projects. Because it's not exactly pinpointing the real source of the problem, I usually rebuild a couple of times to have a good compilation. Weird : |

Let us presuppose.... (Nov 11 2003 23:56 GMT) - In my previous post titled "Fact or Opinion" the Opinion character is probably most easily mapped onto someone of fashionable Leftish views. But the Fact/Opinion dichotomy was not simply a way for me to skewer the Left-many of the arguments... |

Mistake By The Lake (Nov 11 2003 23:55 GMT) - Home and the heat is on baby. Weird how a 41 degree rainy day can feel colder than a 28 degree snowy day to me. Work wants me to go to Chicago next week for a Technical Summit with a... |

O'Reilly's Linux Lab Tests a New Perspective (Nov 11 2003 23:55 GMT) - [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service] - Linux is perceived as a geek's operating system, targeted at advanced users instead of the typical home user. But Linux offers many features that are far cheaper than the Windows alternatives. Step into O'Reilly's Linux Lounge to see how even marketing wonks can build, partition, and customize Linux on an old PC, as well as set up a state-of-the-art AMD 64-bit system running SuSE 9.0 Linux. |

Adventures in Cream (Nov 11 2003 23:53 GMT) - Ack! Every other pint of heavy whipping cream has this crap called Carrageenan. For some reason, it gives me a headache. Clover could be counted on to deliver a quality product, but it's only available at local Whole Foods stores - one around the corner from my apartment, and the other sits further down the 101. Either they're temporarily out of stock, or they're just not interested in keeping my store in stock. |

Is this a cheap shot against the Mac? I think not. Why you ask? |

The gift that keeps on giving (Nov 11 2003 23:53 GMT) - One would think that after I'd survived Hell Summer, I'd have been done with it. Hell Summer was one of the bad ones. First, my best friend was going out of state, for three months until forever. I didn't know what the situation he was going into was like, and from what little I could piece together out of what he said, it sounded bad. Him sending me a letter in Klingon-language, saying that he was in Rura Pente and had a phaser and was planning to escape, was not very reassuring. |
