British Gas Sales people [Stuart Oliver] (Nov 13 2003 17:51 GMT) - Last week, a salesman from British Gas came to my house. It was not a scheduled vist, rather door-to-door. The "pitch" if you can call it that was that I was over paying on my electric and gas currently provided by Scottish Power who, in his words, have a monopoly in our area. He told me that I could save money off my bill with British Gas if I paid online, paid promptly bla bla bla. There were a few other benefits. |
