- Some hard drives support "Cable select" where the drive works like a floppy to tell which is the master and which is the slave. I belive it's the difference of one wire in the 40-pin cable. If so, it would not be difficult to solder a switch in between the MB and the cable select wire. Moving the switch results in a different HD being master. This is only a THEORY. |
