Java Tools? (Nov 24 2003 09:52 GMT) - So we have the real reason why someone was named as Java Tools vice president at Sun, according to the this eweek article; the java tools effort started in September is stalled with IBM and Borland still not joining the effort. The eweek's and Borland's conclusion is wrong, having the same core with plugins to plugin other IDEs does allow you to innnovate on developers terms not Commerical Tool vendor terms otherwise the conclusion of the article and Borland contradicts joining the Java Tools effort for one core and extendable API in ther first place! So it remains to be seen is Boirland, SUN, Oracle, and etc innovating for US(the developer) or them? |
