Blogger News Item (Nov 25 2003 13:59 GMT) - Nu dat er is beslist geen actie te ondernemen tegen landen die zich niet aan gemaakte afspraken aangaande begrotinstekort & staatsschulden, kunnen bij ons meer dan 3/4 van alle bezuinigingsafspraken wel door de plee. Het gros van de voorgenomen bezuinigingen zijn erop gericht de staatsschuld en het begrotingstekort terug te dringen... Maar het oplopen ervan heeft toch geen consequenties... doe ons een lol... kap met diebezuinigingen, heren Zalm en Balkenende... |

High School Lit Textbook Up for Review (Nov 25 2003 13:59 GMT) - Approximately 100 students, teachers and residents met to discuss a literature textbook being used in English classes in Fort Cherry (PA) schools. Parts of the 2,000 page text, "The Bedford Introduction to Literature" were deemed "inappropriate" after complaints were made by some parents and students about sexual content. The school board has pulled the book for review. The story, from the Washington (PA) Observer Reporter, doesn't make mention of the specific offending works. |

HP beats out Apple, others for Michigan laptop program (Nov 25 2003 13:55 GMT) - The Associated Press reports that Michigan officials are recommending the state go with Hewlett-Packard Co. for a statewide laptop computer program.
