By the way, the interview ... (Nov 30 2003 06:40 GMT) - By the way, the interview in Business Week is the first time I've seen Steve Ballmer saying we have more to do on anti-trust matters. Clintonville gathers to say goodbye to its hero (Nov 30 2003 06:38 GMT) - Clintonville - At first, it was just a small group of people standing along Main St., bundled in their parkas, huddled against the cold and watching tearfully as Warren Hansen's casket passed. Down the road, more mourners gathered, men in blaze orange hunting gear, teenagers on their bikes, a little boy in a Santa hat. As the hearse made its way north, the people waved their flags sadly but with purpose, as if to say thank you to Hansen, 36, their new hometown hero. He was killed in Iraq on Nov. |

Housing prices double in Baghdad (Nov 30 2003 06:30 GMT) - Housing prices double in Baghdad House prices have more than doubled in Baghdad since the invasion, even in areas targeted by terrorists. Prices have been stimulated by the lifting of a law passed by Saddam Hussein that barred Iraqis from building property in Baghdad unless they or their parents had lived in the capital before 1957. Now tens of thousands of new homes have been planned by eager Iraqis, and even those will still not be enough to satisfy the demand for housing in the inner city or the capital's leafy suburbs. |
