Fog of war dept. Lord ... (Dec 02 2003 23:16 GMT) - Fog of war dept. Lord knows what really happened at that battle in Samarra -- or whether we will ever find out -- but Juan Cole and Josh Marshall are asking the right questions. 54 Saddam loyalists dead? Née d’une soif de connaissance et de progrès en 1880, l’association - une des doyennes bragardes - est toujours active. Elle perpétue une quête d’enrichissement culturel et de savoir. Et une quête, aujourd’hui, de nouveaux sociétaires. |

Cloud with a Silver Lining (Dec 02 2003 23:15 GMT) - There have been many like James Dale. James used to be an eagle scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Dale, who was also a volunteer Scoutmaster, spent a decade in litigation against the Boy Scouts of America after it kicked him out following publicity about his participation in a seminar as a gay man while a student at Rutgers University. In 2000, in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court upheld the Boy Scouts' right as a private organization to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. "If I had won, it would have been a great thing for me," said Dale, now 33. |
