Also, several of you have emailed me in the last few days concerning the book club I mentioned a while back. Obviosuly I have put this on a backburner until we get our new software set up. I've still got all the emails and will update everyone soon. |

Crackers II (Dec 03 2003 02:58 GMT) - Blogging blind again. -- For the second time in a month, someone has cracked the servers where my weblog is hosted. Although my friend Justin pooh-poohs the notion, personally I think it's because he hosts my website that his servers are being cracked. So I'm looking more seriously at getting a real hosting service. The good folks at JSF sponsor DreamHost are tops on my list. |

Mourning Becomes Electra (Dec 03 2003 02:56 GMT) - Legit Reviews: Although the American regional theater has turned to Eugene O'Neill's 1931 triptych various times in recent years, Howard Davies' scorching reclamation of it demands attention on both sides of the pond, not least for the unflinching respect paid by the production to a text that can tilt toward the overripe. |

Carole Bayer Sager -- Songwriter (Dec 03 2003 02:56 GMT) - Legit Reviews: Carole Bayer Sager mused that she was born in the wrong era, yet her weeklong turn at Feinstein's at the Regency revealed a body of work that has survived the last quarter-century most comfortably and distinctively. Her voice is small and dusty, and Sager presented an impressive legacy of pop standards. |

Armchair Futurists (Dec 03 2003 02:55 GMT) - A discussion on http://plastic.com (how could I pass up linking to a mention of Shockwave Rider?) and a posting on the Many-2-Many weblog reminded me that I wrote (a little) about Web-moderated Futurist Communities just over a year ago. The Many-2-Many link mentions PAM (the DoD's "Policy Analysis Market" that drew a firestorm of protest a few months ago), though I don't really see it as being that different from some of the other "idea market"s. |
