It's The People (Dec 03 2003 22:59 GMT) - Common Sense for a New Century. Today we announce the publication of Governor Dean's "Common Sense for a New Century," laying out your campaign's values and calling for national action. The pamphlet is modeled after Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," published in 1776, that helped ignite an American movement for self-government. Much as Paine's pamphlet was meant to spark discussion among colonists, we ask you to read Dean's pamphlet and sign it, then pass it along to a friend, family member or colleague—who will then sign and pass it along to another American. |

NetNewsWire Eddy award (Dec 03 2003 22:59 GMT) - Sheila and I were so excited when we heard that NetNewsWire had won an Eddy. Imagine us jumping up and down in our little office, with our cat Papa wondering why the monkeys had suddenly gone crazy. We got the news about a week ago, but then had to wait for the press release to appear before saying anything. But knowing about it made for an extra-nice Thanksgiving. Huge thanks go to everyone who has supported NetNewsWire by using it, buying it, telling other people about it, sending feedback, making feature requests, and submitting bug reports. |

Cassidy @ 12/02/2003 02:24 AM (Dec 03 2003 22:59 GMT) - Funny how one word can mean so much, isn't it? Hi, sorry it's been a while since I've visited here, but you know my internet situtation. I plan to write a marathon e-mail to surpass the one you sent me, so keep an eye on your inbox. By the way, I know you're hoping that nickname won't really catch on at work, but I think it's fantabulous. |

The mortgage (Dec 03 2003 22:53 GMT) - The term "mortgage" usually conjures up an image of large monthly payments used to pay off the debt incurred when "purchasing" a home. It's a milestone that most adults enter into eventually and is well understood. However, there is a second type of mortgage that most adults enter into eventually that is not well understood. This second mortgage does not involve money, but rather, it involves time. Because time is not a renewable resource, it is a mortgage that needs to be entered into with the greatest amount of care. |
