Oh the weather outside is frightful (Dec 04 2003 01:59 GMT) - It's very unlike me [I hate the snow with a fiery burning passion], but I hope it snows like a motherfucker this weekend. I hope it snows so much that public transit shuts down [after I arrive home safely, mind you] for a week. Sure, it's partly about getting some extra time off from work, but mostly it's just because I'm really in the Christmas spirit. That, in itself, is highly unusual for me. You still won't find me humming Christmas carols or enjoying the holiday shopping experience with 5,000 of my closest friends, and the outside of my house doesn't look like Times Square. |

Roy Disney Quits: Corporate Governance ... (Dec 04 2003 01:53 GMT) - Roy Disney Quits: Corporate Governance Fails at Disney. The striking thing about Roy Disney's letter of resignation is how studiously he ignores the real problem. This is not to say that the management issues he identifies are not genuine concerns, but merely to suggest that they are symptoms of the underlying root cause. |

Nobody cares, if you're caucasian (Dec 04 2003 01:51 GMT) - Gotta love The Memory Hole. They've turned up this story about a domestic terrorism case that has been ignored by the national media.
