:: Fuel 1 December (Dec 04 2003 14:57 GMT) - Group dynamic seems to be the forefront of this months FUEL. In the past week and a half we have become a community. In previous FUEL meetings there was the feel that there was a group of people new to each other meeting together. All of the sudden our core people feel like a core. There is ownership of the vision from others beside myself. |

Mickey Kaus, A Helpful Guide (Dec 04 2003 14:55 GMT) - This letter to the editor of Slate suggests that you have only yourself to blame if you grow frustrated reading the Kausfiles: "I often make the mistake of trying to read Mickey Kaus the same way I'd read, say, Tim Noah or George Will - that is, as political commentary. When I attempt this, I leave Kaus's columns feeling, dazed, confused, somewhat violated, yet strangely dreamlike... as if I'd been mugged and molested by the Pillsbury Doughboy. This is because Kaus isn't writing poltical commentary. |
