BUSH'S GREATEST CHALLENGE? (Dec 04 2003 17:59 GMT) - Osama couldn't destroy his resolve. Saddam saw first-hand the repercussions of ignoring countless international resolutions. Criticism after criticism is absorbed by his stalwart frame, to no effect. But now, the leader of the free world faces his greatest challenge. In... |

PETA: a CIA hoax to discredit The Left? You decide... (Dec 04 2003 17:59 GMT) - PETA Billboard Depicts Virgin Mary Cradling Chicken Carcass: "The billboard, seen by motorists near exit 4 on Interstate 195 in East Providence, includes the phrase, 'Go Vegetarian. It's an Immaculate Conception.'"[Of course, the enlightened, highly-educated PETA types and/or their ad agency, mixed up the Virgin Birth with the Immaculate Conception, which refers to the birth of Mary, not Jesus. So this sign is that very special species of Stupid -- "Stupid For More Than One Reason" Stupid. |

Well, ok. If you insist. (Dec 04 2003 17:59 GMT) - Someone asked me to share my amazon wishlist, as they wanted to get me something but didn't know what I would like. I don't really maintain my wishlist much anymore, though, and it was nearly empty. I now have a few things on it, however, if anyone really insists upon getting me something.Really though, there are very few things I want that aren't fairly big ticket items these days. Most of the rest is just clutter, and there's never enough space for it. |

RIP BlogShares (Dec 04 2003 17:58 GMT) - Eight months ago I discovered BlogShares, a fantasy blog shares market. During these months I have spend my bored moments trying to convert my initial $500 into a fortune by trading virtual stocks. As far as I now, my account passed $90.000.000 this week, so I was really close to... |

Since no one else is ... (Dec 04 2003 17:57 GMT) - Since no one else is going to do it ... I'd like to give myself mad props for only buying one book since I posted the list of all the unread books I own. Okay, so it's only been about a month and a half, but when you stop to consider that I was averaging about 5 books a month, that's something, no? Sure, there are bigger things I could have accomplished in that time,... |

Michael Gartenberg: What's Wrong with Microsoft's Mobile Strategy (Dec 04 2003 17:55 GMT) - Michael Gartenberg: What's Wrong with Microsoft's Mobile Strategy Jupiter analysist Michael Gartenberg has a pretty good take on Microsoft's mobile strategy. In some ways I think he is basically saying that Microsoft needs to execute better on their plan. (Gartenberg's second point drives this home to me. I read that as an affirmation of Microsoft's strategy that no one device is perfect for everybody. |
