Printed Airline Travel Guides Doing Fine, Despite The Internet (Dec 08 2003 16:58 GMT) - I have a good friend who knows just about everything having to do with airlines and flight schedules. If I'm ever having any difficulty with scheduling or picking a different flight, I just call him up and he suggests the best plan of action. It's nice to have someone like that who you can call on, because the internet isn't always around (yet) for you to look this stuff up. Plus, sometimes the internet isn't the most efficient way to find this information. While lots of people have predicted the death of certain print publications due to the internet, some are still thriving, such as printed airline travel guides, which list all available flights over a certain period. |

Hunt: No style points (Dec 08 2003 16:56 GMT) - Green Bay - The Brett Favre blooper reel may be only as long as a Charles Nelson Reilly retrospective, yet the future Hall of Famer's infrequent pratfalls have been, shall we say, spectacular. There's no need to recount them here. Knowing that his dreadful interception Sunday that produced a 45-yard touchdown return by Lance Briggs was somewhere in the top 10 is enough. The no-look, across-the-field intended throwaway also gave the Chicago Bears a 14-0 lead with 50 seconds left in the first quarter. "I may have been the only one in the stadium who wasn't worried at that point," Favre said. |
