Bluetooth keyboards for your mobile: one step closer? (Dec 09 2003 22:57 GMT) - Infosync World picked up on a press release by Think Outside, Inc. today. Think Outside has "created a royalty-free keyboard driver that utilizes the Bluetooth Human Interface Device (HID) profile and that the company will make available to any OEM interested in including it in a smartphone or PDA design." By providing a HID profile to hardware manufacturers, Think Outside is lowering the barrier for OEMs to produce Bluetooth keyboards. Unfortunately we have a bit of a chicken/egg scenario here. |

good article on Gates charitable efforts... [Freddie Daniells] (Dec 09 2003 22:53 GMT) - I thought that this was an good article on Gates world health efforts. (I'm sure the PR machine helped in its generation, but then again the WHO do the same.) Very interesting to see the focus on what was perhaps descibed on the 'business end' versus the more 'fashionable'. Good to get a balance about the bloke whether you like his software practices or not (personally I am pretty sanguine). Best regards |
