Patient Cost Sharing: How Much ... (Dec 11 2003 00:14 GMT) - Patient Cost Sharing: How Much is Too Much? An issue brief from the Center for Studying Health System Change - "Responding to successive years of double-digit health insurance premium increases, employers continue to restructure health benefits to slow the rise in company costs by increasing patients' financial stake in their care. A new Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC) study examines how increased patient cost sharing through higher deductibles, copayments and coinsurance raises patients' out-of-pocket costs. Increased patient cost sharing creates more financial burdens for seriously ill and low-income workers. |

Rest assured, I will have something up tomorrow. I didn't forget, strangely enough, to take along my new copy of Martin Grams, Jr.'s latest book, Information Please, which I received in the mail yesterday. |

Weird but true story... (Dec 11 2003 00:10 GMT) - Checking the luggage at Miami International we had to pass our bags through the customary X-Rays. Of course, one of our bags was picked for a hand check. The person doing the checking was a huge guy with a few friends face.
