Comment about the Coleco Adam (1886) (Dec 11 2003 15:21 GMT) - Haha for years after we had the Adam, whenever I would rent a Nintendo or Sega game, my mom would ask if "it was rewound" before bringing it back, thinking they all worked on tapes like the Adam games did. I loved Buck Rogers, it was the first game I ever beat and I remember bragging to my friends about it even though they had no idea what an "Adam" was. The game broke (tape got all unravelled inside while it was rewinding once) so I only used it as a word processor till 1994 (!!!), then we got a real word processor and my mom sold the whole thing for like 10 bucks at a yard sale. I never would have thought it would have had an interest today. |

Okay, So That Will Tick Me Off (Dec 11 2003 15:18 GMT) - Congress is looking to pass its "Can-Spam" legislation. But critics say it may actually produce more email spam by providing legitimate exemptions for some of it. However, critics argue that the regulations are full of loopholes that could increase the amount of spam. Some have even begun referring to the bill as the Yes, You Can Spam Act. "Can-Spam won't work," said researcher and antispam developer William Yerazunis. |
