Death of Flexible Width Designs (Dec 12 2003 00:11 GMT) - It's over, it's done. Those of you holding on should wave the white flag as two of the best flexible width sites, Doug Bowman and Dan Cederholm, have thrown in the towel and gone fixed-width without even an entry of explanation, I suppose because the benefits of fixed-width are so ... |

Lad Colin Powell føre USA's udenrigspolitik! |

WiFi and Bluetooth Combo Chips on the Horizon (Dec 12 2003 00:11 GMT) - Sychip, is now producing samples of a product that combines a Wi-Fi module with Bluetooth, the short-range wireless networking technology. Sychip and other Wi-Fi semiconductor manufacturers are trying to woo customers by integrating radio functions into a single chip or package. Early next year, the company is scheduled to show off a Secure Digital (SDIO) card that contains a Wi-Fi module and flash-memory chips(through SanDisk). Sychip already produces a Wi-Fi card for SDIO slots (SanDisk, Socket, Viewsonic), but if consumers want to take pictures, they have to swap in a memory card. Put another way, the Wi-Fi memory card does the same thing as two traditional cards. |
