25 ALBUMS THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MADE (Dec 12 2003 00:47 GMT) - Those wacky guys and gals over at CorporateMoFo have come up with the list of the 25 biggest mistakes in the recording industry. It even comes with this nifty disclaimer. Now, before everybody starts storming my house with pitchforks and torches, let me explain something. First, these are my opinions. If you really don't think these albums suck, or that the following artists can do no wrong, please, by all means, drop some ducats from your paycheck and listen to 'em. |

Science vs Religion (Dec 12 2003 00:46 GMT) - Micheal Crichton knocks one out of the park... Environmentalism needs to be absolutely based in objective and verifiable science, it needs to be rational, and it needs to be flexible. And it needs to be apolitical. To mix environmental concerns... |

Today, Wired News published a story about this person. His name is Gary Allen, and he has a site titled IFO Apple Store (IFO = In Front Of). Gary's site documents his (and his son's) incredible travels to be at Apple Stores all around the country, and now the world. |

While it may be true that you don't see PC games as soon on Apple, I believe the tide is changing rapidly. A shining example is Aspyr. If you visit their site, you will see over 30 incredible games for the Apple platform. Another company with innovative games is Freeverse Software. |

(Dec 12 2003 00:45 GMT) - To find out what's playing at the movies, usually requires a newspaper or a phonebook, to call the theater and listen to a long, droning message. Enter Sherlock. Built into OS X, Sherlock is a swiss army knife of useful tools, the most exciting of which is Movies. Sherlock knows where you are, based on your personal Address Book entry, and displays movie theaters closest to you. Pick a theater, and Sherlock displays what's playing, and show times. |

It is located in Tokyo, in an area known as Ginza, the most exclusive and expensive shopping area in Japan. Apple has posted a gallery of incredible photos of the new store. But what is most impressive, is the huge number of people who stood in line on opening day. Masanori Fukumoto captured the event on film, and turned it into an iMovie titled "The Longest Line". |

Harry Connick Jr. was on the Today show this morning, singing songs from his new Christmas album. My wife said she would love to have that album. In the past buying music meant a trip to a store, fighting the holiday crowds, and looking through the jumbled up music section. |

Since most modern systems contain CD burners, it's time to start working with CD-RW's; re-writable CDs. The technical problem is different computers use different standards of making CDs: HFS+, ISO-9660 with Rock Ridge, and Joliet with Rock Ridge. |

Call me crazy, but normally when you press the "home" button, the cursor goes to the beginning of a line. Likewise, the "end" button when pressed, should move the cursor to the end of a line. Not in OS X. The only working exception that I have found is in Office, which is a very good thing. |
