Top 10 swaps [Phil Shankland] (Dec 12 2003 14:45 GMT) - You know how it is - you can't help recommending the book you're reading (by the way have you read Neil Croft's 'Authentic Business - how to make a living by being yourself') or tunes you're tuned to (right now I'm listening to Bonobo). See what I mean? Wouldn't it be great to swap Top 10 lists - books, music, etc. Does anyone know of a web based Top 10 swap shop? Could we incorporate it into Ecademy? |

But since jettisoning all of Microsoft products three years ago, Ernie Ball has also gained notoriety as a company that dumped most of its proprietary software--and still lived to tell the tale." |

Ordering Authors (Dec 12 2003 14:44 GMT) - Every scientific field has their own rules for the order of authors in a paper. In theoretical computer science, tradition dictates that we list the authors alphabetically by last name. I don't agree with this tradition; rarely do all the co-authors of a paper play an equal role. The decision whether to add someone as a co-author, and thus an equal, often becomes difficult. |

Clever marketing (Dec 12 2003 14:44 GMT) - I Googled for "Ant Filespec" today and I came across a Java code coverage tool called Clover. They posted an HTML representation of some of the source code for Ant that indicates the lines of code that were covered by unit tests. Very cool technique and a very nice tool as well. |
