Pre-budget report summary [Andrew Brouard] (Dec 12 2003 15:58 GMT) - Commentary Despite lasting only 35 minutes Gordon Brown's pre-budget report packed in a great deal, much of it being left to the large number of publications accompanying the report. Prudence gained only three mentions and perhaps that is significant, since, whilst we were deluged with statistics, all of which were delivered with the aim of demonstrating the UK's economic superiority over the rest of the world, even the Chancellor was unable to hide the fact that this year's borrowing requirements are going to reach £37 billion, or more than £10 billion higher than previously forecast. |

Directory Added (Dec 12 2003 15:57 GMT) - My readers and I suffer greatly from the navigation structure of this website. The two to three years of continuous adding content to the site left hundreds of pages of content with no particular order. The current category feature of MovableType is not strong enough to hold the 400 articles - I cannot add more categories since the top navigation... |
