Magnetic Field - down 10% in last 150 years (Dec 12 2003 22:58 GMT) - This is not new news, and scientists generally feel that either the decline will take a thousand more years, or that it is a temporary decline, and it will bounce back again soon. No-one dares to say that we could have a magnetic pole reversal in the next 10 years... This is new: "Over the southern Atlantic Ocean, a continued weakening of the magnetic field has diminished the shielding effect it has locally in protecting the Earth from the natural radiation that bombards our planet from space,... |

The police blotter often makes the most interesting reading (Dec 12 2003 22:56 GMT) - Mr. Mopps is the children's toy and book store around the corner from my house. Long Day (Dec 12 2003 22:55 GMT) - Well after a long day of sitting and waiting, I was just two people away from being selected to sit on this jury. Although it was an interesting murder trial, it would have taken most of next week away from me and that would have been expensive for me. So I'm back to work and on track for next week having only lost one day. |

Update (Dec 12 2003 22:54 GMT) - Livejournal solved most of my problems. Less resolution problems for you, screened comments for me. Hence, the new look.---I was watching the Blue's Clues episode with my son earlier today where the old host was leaving to introduce the new host. Of course, they had to create a clever story so as not to upset their sensitive viewing audience. |
