Michael Geist writes: Ultimately, four key take-homes in my view. Huge mistake on torts exam! (Dec 12 2003 23:46 GMT) - I had the best of intentions. I really wanted to use the phrase "In Christ there is victory" on my Torts exam. I only just remembered it. Damn, damn, damn. There goes all those coolness points down the drain. |

Jag mötte Lassie (Dec 12 2003 23:46 GMT) - I nearly got run over by Milton Friedman once. I was bicycling on the Stanford campus, and he almost blew through a stop sign. He was driving one of those giant, tan-colored Mercedes sedans that, if you bicycle around here a lot, you come to assume are driven by rich people who aren't going to register your existence. Useful Applescripts for coding PHP in BBEdit (Dec 12 2003 23:45 GMT) - At work I spend a lot of time coding, which means I also spend a lot of time using BBEdit. Thankfully it's a fantastic program with excellent Applescript integration. As a PHP coder, I thought I'd share some of the great Applescripts that are out there to enhance your coding experience, and hopefully save you some time. Rational Review - Rational Review ... (Dec 12 2003 23:45 GMT) - Rational Review - Rational Review and BCRA - Tom Knapp, Scott Bieser, and Brad Spangler are not sure whether the Bipartisan Campaign "Reform" Act appies to Rational Review, but they don't care. Bravo, Tom, Scott, and Brad! I salute you! [smith2004] Rational Review, or more specifically those who write for Rational Review, will say whatever the hell we choose to say, whenever and however we feel like saying it, to anyone who cares to listen, until and unless we are forcibly prevented from doing so. We don't allow the state to regulate our speech, nor do we find the natterings of a bunch of political hacks in choir robes particularly impressive. |

We got a Winner (Dec 12 2003 23:44 GMT) - I usually never win any prizes when participating in little competitions or sweepstakes (no, I don't consider extra spam a prize...). But this time I did. When coming home I found an envelope containing the 'Yubellado' 15th anniversary CD of the L'Age D'Or record label which I won in their advent calendar on their web site. Nice. |
