Downloading legal uploading isn't and fees will be levied on certain medias the ruling in Canada (Dec 13 2003 08:58 GMT) - It could be double dipping for people who buy blank media and don't download music and instead buy music CDs. It is not a nod that that P2P networks are OK since uploading is still against the law.The recording industry won't like it even though an attempt is being made to compensate artists (the recording industry really isn't about compensating artists anyway). The ruling does attempt to define what is acceptable as fair use but of course will be met with legal challenges. To me it sounds sort like trying promote and deny file sharing at the same time and I am not sure this is possible. |

Microsoft minimised PC - an experiment! [Peter Wilson] (Dec 13 2003 08:55 GMT) - Finally replaced my aging Toshiba laptop with a shiny new Dell laptop. The Tosh was great - never a problem in the over 3 years I've had it and it's still going strong. All sorts of great features on the Dell though at an amazing price - including the most amazing 1600x1200 resolution LCD screen. So far - after 2 weeks - I'm a happy customer. This time around I'm trying to minimise my reliance on Microsoft. |

Candyman. Candyman. Candyman. Candyman. Candyman. (Dec 13 2003 08:54 GMT) - Myths Over Miami This is the secret story shelter children will tell only in hushed voices, for it reveals Bloody Mary's mystery: God's final days before his disappearance were a waking dream. There were so many crises on Earth that he never slept. Angels reported rumors of Bloody Mary's pact with Satan: She had killed her own child and had made a secret vow to kill all human children. |
